I have a headache…
in the before time
it would annoy
brought on by my
insipid decision-making
in the now time
it’s a hemorrhage
or a tumor
or the last ember fizzling
in the incineration
of my invincibility
of my unearned wisdom
of sanity
I dread this pillow
